To help reduce family and sexual violence, this tool provided a simple way for users to access personalised support services available to them nationally.
The web tool was part of a pilot programme that included a range of complementary resources.
Design and delivery of the tool took five weeks.
The tool was piloted in three regions of New Zealand.
GPS geofencing was used to filter a database of available support services based on a users current location.
Careful attention was paid to make sure the questions were realistic and led to logical support options.
User interface elements and language were designed to ensure clarity and appropriateness of tone for the target users.
Many aspects of the language interface needed to be considered.
Choices had to be clearly understandable.
Consequences of choices needed to be intuitive.
